God Puts You Back Together Again
Good Morning. Let me first say, God is Soooooooo Good. He’s more than awesome. I was lying in bed this morning. I knew I had to get up and write for you this morning, bed was feeling so good so I got me an extra 30 minutes. Again, I had a different topic I was going to talk about this morning. He quickly changed that. Thank you Jesus! How many of you listen to Jill Scott or have at least heard of her? This song fell in my spirit this morning. She has this new single called Put Me Back Together. I want to share the first verse with you.
Pieces of me were scattered
Blowing in the cold
In different directions, hm
Truth, truth, truth be told
But then I looked into your eyes
Everything felt like it could be alright
You went and put me back together
Back together again
I’m not sure if she was referring to a man, but I can tell you I know a man. His name is Jesus. Pieces of me were scattered. Blowing in the cold In different directions, hm Truth, truth, truth be told. Before we came to Christ this was you and I, broken, scattered, not knowing what direction to go to. We wanted to be in Christ, but it was something about the world that just kept pulling us in. In some instances this is still some of us. Everyday, in the lives of individuals, God puts them back together again. Remember, he gives us free will. If you don’t ask, he won’t come. Until we truly and wholeheartedly accept who he is in our lives, we will remain as broken pieces. Psalms 147:3 (NKJV) says, “He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.” Later on she said, “But then I looked into your eyes.” – Psalm 121:1-2 (NKJV) says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills — From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.” “Everything felt like it could be alright” – Proverbs 3:5 (NKJV) says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” “You went and put me back together. Back together again.” – Deuteronomy 30:2-3 (NKJV) says, “and you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, 3 that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.” In the previous verse, it talks about captivity. Definition of captivity is the condition of being imprisoned or confined. What thoughts, person, or thing has you in imprisoned or confined right now? Today, Let God Put You Back Together Again! Stay tuned, you never know how God will speak to us tomorrow! Yes, he talks to me through my blogs as well. Have a Blessed Day!
