Banquet for the Unbelievers
28 So Levi got up, left everything, and followed him. 29 Later, Levi held a banquet in his home with Jesus as the guest of honor. Many of Levi’s fellow tax collectors and other guests also ate with them.

We as Christians sometimes think we have arrived when we become “saved.” There are people and places that we feel are beneath us. We turn our noses up at people that struggle with whether they want to turn their lives over to Christ. They struggle because they see Christian’s act like they are still in the world. What baffles me is that you used to be that person. You used to struggle with the same things yet find it hard to see them because you are so-called saved.
When Levi decided to follow Christ, he held a banquet for Jesus so his associates could meet Him, and possibly turn their lives over to him like he had. Levi wanted them to see how God changed his life. He wanted their lives to be changed as well if they would follow Jesus.
When was the last time you invited someone to church? Yes, you have asked them numerous times. They have always said no. What if this time they said yes? Jesus loved banquets and feast. It gave him an opportunity to reach people who souls were lost. When was the last time you invited friends and family to dinner? Through your words and what they see, you could possibly turn them to Christ as well.
There are people in your circle that yearn to know Christ. They do not know what to do or say to make that first step. Invite them in so that you can help save one more of God’s sheep.
