The Yellow Brick Road (Part 2)

Good Evening.  Last week I did part 1 of the blog title.  Just as a refresher of the story.  When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical Land of Oz.  They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West to earn his help.  At the end when Dorothy completed the journey.  The Wizard told her to click her heels three times, and chant, “There’s no place like home.” 

We all should be trying to get home which is Heaven.  There is no Wizard there.  Only our Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He’s not asking you to bring anything to earn his help to get into the Kingdom.  Romans 10:9 (NKJV) say, “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” 

There will be family, friends, associates, etc. that you will not see in Heaven.  Why?  Matthew 7:13-14 (NLT) says, “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” 

What does that mean?  Sinning is so easy to do when you do not have God in your life.  It’s hard when you do.  The difference is, as believers, we want to please God, so we try not too sin therefore we choose the narrow gate.  Yes, it’s difficult, but doable.  You have to ask God into your life daily.  That’s the only way it will work.  I want to see you there. There is a song called, Walk Around Heaven All Day! That’s what we will be doing one day. When you get an opportunity read Revelation 21.  It describes heaven in some detail.  There is no place like home.  Have a Blessed Evening!
