You Are Not Alone
Good Morning. I wrote this blog post in 2015. I thought I would share it with you today.
I just want you to know that you are not alone. There is someone going through the same thing as you today. Others are going through worse. Each day is not going to be a day where you feel good. Some days are going to be, “God, where are you? I need you to come and fix what’s broken in my life right now. I know that it’s a test, but how long before this test is over? What are you trying to tell me in this season of my life?”
On days like this, it’s okay to cry out to him. He needs to hear from you. Psalms 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” If we had everything together, we wouldn’t need him, and that’s just unacceptable. I don’t know about you, but I need him like the air I breathe. I don’t want to move unless he orders my steps. He is everything to me. Keep your mind focused on him.
Isaiah 26:3, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” In times of adversity we should be like David in Psalms 1:3 when he says, “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” On your not so good days, let God know that even though today is not what you would have it, it’s still okay because you know he has you. Have a Blessed Day!
