His Mercy Saved Us
“5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;” Titus 3:5-6
Good Afternoon. On a daily basis, God extends to us his grace and mercy. We’re not saved by things that we do. If that was the case, none of us would be saved because honestly speaking, we don’t always do right. When we’re baptized (washing of the regeneration), and we accept the Lord as our Saviour, we’re saved. Everyday, by the renewing of the Holy Ghost, we’re forgiven of our sins, and continually renewed. I’m not saying do wrong because of his grace and mercy. Strive to do right even when you’re tempted to do wrong. Doing good works can’t save us, or even make God love us any more than he does, but it will show him how much faith and love we have for Christ. Have a Blessed Afternoon!
