Your Purpose in God’s Timing
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:”
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
If you have read my blogs before, I talk about purpose a lot. Reason being is because knowing, accepting, and walking out your purpose are three different things. As someone who has struggled with all three, I completely understand. I always throw this question out in some form or another. Does your purpose change just because you do not like it or whatever the case maybe? No, it does not. God’s purpose for you was there when you were formed in your mother’s womb.
The above mentioned scripture is well known. I just heard the scripture this past Saturday, but it was given in the context of dying. I encourage you to read the chapter in its entirety when you get an opportunity. Let us review the scripture. “For there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” What we know about God’s word that it will never come back to you void. Some people go through life never knowing their purpose. Some may not seek God in order to find out what it is. Then there are cases where they know what it is because God has revealed it, yet they refuse to accept and walk it out. Which one are you today?
Life is scary. I get it. God may have Everyone has some form of the same idea out here. You may feel like you do not have what it takes to make it work. You may not have the confidence to step out on faith. The reason for giving you this scripture is because depending on what God has for you, he will fulfill your purpose whether you want to or not. Life is about choices. I would rather do what God asks me voluntarily than involuntarily. Yes, it may get hard. I would rather do it with Jesus. Everything that is supposed to be, will be. It will happen just like it should for your life.
I encourage you to trust God in this. He will not fail and neither will you. The work is already in you. “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
